Things To Remember from the 2006 Dinner

Coffee Requirements

• Rented three coffee coolers
• Made two pots (85 c. and 60 c. each) of Decaff and regular)
• One pot hot water
• People took more decaf than regular
• One Regular Coffee (60 cups?)
• One Decaf (60 cups)
• Coffee carafes--the church has more than 20 total in the lower cabinet by the ice machine How do we handle type (some kind of tag) and getting them to tables?
• One tureen of lemonade or punch
• One can of coffee is probably more than enough (Less than 1 lb each used)--enough left over from this year for next.

Cooking

• Getting people to take lasagnas home in the middle of the day to coo works well
• Lasagnas take 1 hr to cook if thawed and 2 hrs to cook if frozen (convection oven doesn't help)
• Roasters worked really well for refried beans--add only a little bit of water between the roaster and the pan

• Chips and salsa vs. pretzels Maybe chips for table and pretzels for bar?
• Need bowls for salsa
• Need baskets for chips

Decorations

• Get 7 ft. round table coverings from internet.

Bar

• Wine: No more than 2 cases each of wine--3 to 1 red
• Beer: 3 Reg 1-packs Bud, 1 bud light
• Soda: 1 cas diet coke, 2 reg, 2 sprite Diet
• 1 case water
• Cups & Glasses (Beer/soda, wine & water for table)

Raffles

• Two 50/50 raffles worked great (and thanks to Bridget's husband).

Miscellaneous
